Question: Lost my key to my 2001 suzuki xl7 need new one have no spare?

I lost my only friggin key to my 2001 suzuki xl7 and noone in arkansas can make a new one they say call a dealership but the only problem is there is no just suzuki dealers in arkansas id have to travel almost 200 miles for a "key " and no lock smiths can do it either anyone know where i can find a key code? i can get a blank key?

If the dealer has the VIN number they can punch a key, but you need to prove you're the owner. Call the dealer and ask if you can send some kind of proof- they'll tell you what- to have them FedEX your key. Or you can drive the 200 miles and take your registration and license with you along with your VIN matching your Registration- take a picture of the vin plate. Good luck. Call them and talk.

Remove the drivers side lock barrel and post it to a locksmith {one that cateres for car locks and they will cut a key to match}

Keyblank is a standard SUZ-17. Any locksmith knows how to make the key, if they are actually a locksmith. There is nothing about this vehicle requiring a trip to the dealer. Please understand, a key cutter at a hardware store, Wal-Mart, etc is not a locksmith. The locksmith will need access to the vehicle, we don't use the vin, we use the locks.
